The benefits of hot springs are not exactly a secret. Infused with minerals like calcium and sodium bicarbonate, the waters not only help to soothe skin but also boost circulation and skin health. The only problem – it’s just not practical to hop on a plane to Japan or Korea every time your skin needs a pick-me-up.

The easier (and more affordable) alternative: Innisfree’s Jeju Sparkling Mineral line. The hydrating range has pure hot spring water extracted from the underground aquifer below Korea’s Sanbangsan Mountain. The water not only has moisturising minerals and nutrients, but is also infused with carbon to help boost microcirculation to strengthen skin and give it a healthy glow.

The collection ($3 – $43) has seven products in all: A toner, lotion, essence, cream, mist, cleansing mousse and powder. The star product is undoubtedly the essence, which has 73.6 per cent pure mineral water to tone, firm and strengthen skin’s barrier function. Another must have is the cleansing powder, which dissolves easily in water into a carbonated formula that revitalises the complexion and has Jeju tangerine peel extract to brighten and deeply cleanse pores.
