Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening, $80

Finding my foundation  I’ve always felt that if you take good enough care of your skin, then you won’t need foundations or powders to hide flaws. So while I test them for my job, I generally don’t use them on a daily basis. That’s not to say I haven’t come across a few fantastic ones that I turn to when I need my complexion to look flawless, like Dior’s Nude Air Serum Foundation or Cle de Peau Beaute’s Correcting Cream Veil.

The latest to join my “use in case of emergency” stash is Sulwhasoo’s Perfecting Cushion Brightening ($80). It’s lightweight (no sticky feeling), natural looking (I hate looking too made up), and gives my complexion a gorgeous glow, whether or not I’ve had enough sleep the night before. A must-have for beauty junkies and newbies alike.

Chanel F/W ’15

My LBD dreams  If you walk into my wardrobe, the first thing you’ll probably notice is that it is filled with colour. While I have several black staples, it has never been my go-to shade (unlike my colleagues in the fashion department). Well, all that changed the moment I saw the finale looks on the Chanel F/W ’15 runway.

The seven black cocktail dresses that closed the show are simple, pretty yet oh-so-chic. I’m obsessed! But at $10,000 a piece, they’ll probably have to remain on my wish list. Sigh…
