The five-year-old label by local designer Max Tan is now housed in the swanky new mall Capitol Piazza. Here’s why paying a visit is a must.
“This historical site in the civic district used to house homegrown labels like Nic Wong, Baylene Li and Hansel. The mall (located next to City Hall MRT) is close to Orchard Road, near the arts district and also in the vicinity of the soon-to-open National Gallery, which makes this 680-square-feet store (which officially opened four months ago) a prime spot to be in.”
“In store now: The Spring Summer ’15 collection, which offers neoprene sweaters, cotton shirts, comfortable double-knit pieces and jersey tops, all of which are mostly in monochrome.”
“Prices range from $159 for a deconstructed tank top to $899 for a neoprene dress, and all are in extremely limited quantities (so you can be sure you won’t spot someone else wearing a carbon copy of your outfit).”
“The interior design was conceptualised in collaboration with the founder of architectural studio Ebon Designs Vince Ong. To reflect our shared love for spaces, depth and volume (which is also what the label embodies), we used materials like steel and mirrors throughout to stay true to the brand’s minimalist leanings.”
“The floor-to-ceiling mirrors in the fitting room have been a hit with customers. Imagine stepping into a room where you can see the clothes from a 360-degree angle.”
