Yesah’s final womenswear collection was inspired by the warm, rich textures of Tibetan dressing.

You know Yesah as the cool-cat homegrown label founded by Female Collective girl/DJ Linda Hao and worn by It girls like Nadia Rahmat. Mash-up’s offbeat streetwear offerings are equally quirky – but that’s not the only thing the two brands have in common.

Mash-up’s S/S ’16 collection features a mish-mash of graphic prints on shirts, dresses and crop tops.

What they share: A desire to give back to society by imparting hands-on skills to folks who are interested in the arts and crafts. Says Hao: “As a designer, our (handicraft) skills are the only sustainable trait we can hold onto (for life), and I wish to pass this on before the digital generation takes over completely and people forget what we can actually do with our hands.”

To that end, the duo have joined forces to hold a series of handicraft workshops in the tranquil surroundings of Aramsa Spa at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park this Sunday, June 5. Three craft sessions are available, and each two-hour-long event focuses on making different objects, from creating your own hanging wall art to designing a tie-dyed tote bag and DIY-ing accessories like necklaces and chokers. All materials and tools will be provided on-site, so if you’re looking for a way to de-stress over the weekend, this might just be it. $90 per pax, buy tickets here
