For the Dior S/S 2017 Haute Couture collection, Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-up Peter Philips focused on getting the perfect glow. “I delved into the mysterious atmosphere and the play on seduction in this collection, which presents the hide/reveal aspect of a masked ball,” says Philips. “The sophistication of Stephen Jones’ creations and the masks on some of the looks were also a source of inspiration for creating a poetic gaze. This is a young woman with a modernised pre-Raphaelite beauty. It was essential to emphasise her soft luminosity and sensuality.”

The key was keeping skin light and pure, with a luminous and natural glow. To create this, Philips applied Diorskin Forever and Ever Wear Primer as the base, followed by Dior Forever Perfect Cushion foundation, and a light rosy cloud of Diorblush in #756 and #876 on the cheeks, while touches of Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer in #001 gave skin a pearly shine at strategic points.

Eyes were nude with no mascara, and pale eyelids dusted with Diorshow Mono in #317 Metaphore and a line of Diorshow Khol in #529 Beige. Lips were smoothed with the Lip Sugar Scrub, then lightly enhanced with Dior Addict Lacquer Stick in #550 Tease.
