At New York Fashion Week, it was all about glowing, healthy complexions. At Milan Fashion Week, glitter-encrusted lips were the talk of the town. And at Paris Fashion Week, it was the eye makeup that spoke volumes.
At Kenzo, swathes of pink were dabbed onto the corners of model’s eyes, lending models a geisha-esque vibe as they walked down the runway. Chanel took a similar approach, applying hot pink blusher high on the cheekbones all the way to models’ eyebrows, while adding a white shimmer to the inner corner of eyes.
Louis Vuitton went for a decidedly edgier look, giving models graphic black eyeliner and purple eyeshadow swept over brows and up towards the temples. Hermes focused on the lower lash line, contrasting the smudgey liner below the eyes with pink eyeshadow on models’ lids.
The most appropriate look for everyday, meanwhile, came from Moncler Gamme Rouge: models’ faces were kept fresh and clean, while eyelids were dusted with a light, glossy shimmer which still made it the focal point of attention.
