Follow this general rule-of-thumb from Nora Soho, makeup artist and trainer for Shu Uemura: “Match cream or liquid foundations with cream or liquid highlighters, and powder foundations with powder ones – the complementary formulas help the highlighters go on more easily and blend better.”
