Verna and Tino enjoyed an intimate weekend wedding with their nearest and dearest at the luxurious Samujana villa estate in Ko Samui, Thailand. The celebrations took place in a partial-alfresco setting (so guests could enjoy the sweeping views of the property and its gardens). Verna wanted a wedding that was organic yet elegant, romantic and intimate. The theme (a white and green palette) really fell into place shortly after the invitations had been printed. It followed through on the welcome gifts, flowers and ceremony setup to stationery, table decor and more. Guests who flew in for the occasion received welcome bags which contained a local SIM card, bottles of water, and snacks. They were offered an in-house menu at their own villas, and had the opportunity to sign up for a variety of classes throughout the weekend, including yoga, cooking and Muay Thai.
On the day of the wedding, guests were given cold towels and a beverage on the oceanfront lawn, where the ceremony took place. The flower-lined aisle was lit up by more than 300 candles, as Verna, who looked lovely in a simple yet stylish strapless which gown, met her groom. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne, cocktails and appetisers as they mingled in the lounge against the setting sun.
