Before Raffles Hotel embarks on the second phase of its restoration, a specially curated tour and exhibition will allow visitors to delve deep into the history of the 130-year-old hotel, through recreations of accommodations and elaborate menus of the past. Limited to just 12 spaces per tour, visitors will also get to walk home with a delectable souvenir. Raffles Hotel, 1 Beach Rd. $12 per ticket

The popular open-air cinema event is back for a fifth time this August, where film fans can enjoy a relaxed movie screening under the stars. Food and drinks are permitted, though The Providore will also be on site to serve up delicious fares like beef burgers and gourmet popcorn. National Day is approaching, so show your love for homegrown designers and creatives at this design-centric ‘pasar malam’.
