Tucked away amongst the verdant greenery of Labrador Nature Park, this newly opened two-storey colonial hotel might just be your new favourite alternative to a Sentosa staycay. #3: Sofitel Singapore City Centre

Singapore’s third Sofitel hotel is opening its doors this May at Tanjong Pagar Centre, and the newest edition will have a whopping 222 rooms available. Information is scant right now, but you can expect this to be one hip destination in the CBD. 9 Wallich Street 

 

#4: The Duxton Club

The first hotel to belong to the Luxury Collection group, The Duxton Club will be housed in two restored pre-war colonial shophouses: The Duxton House and The Duxton Terrace. The former is slated to open on June 1 and will house 50 rooms, while the latter – designed by renowned architect Jacques Garcia, who was involved in restoring the Louvre and the palace of Versailles – will debut a month later with 138 rooms. Its interior will reportedly feature oriental influences in a luxe setting, while the hotel will also open a private cigar room and an exclusive members’ club upon completion. 83 Duxton Road 

 

#5: The Patina, Capitol Singapore

The hotel was scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016, but will now be opening this year as at press time. What we do know so far: It will feature over 157 rooms and suites with state-of-the-art in-room amenities. There’ll also be Eru, a restaurant serving spicy Peruvian delicacies, on site. 15 Stamford Road, tel: 6368-8888
