If you often patronise (or are at least a fan) of Overeasy, Tanjong Beach club, The White Rabbit and The Warehouse hotel, then you have to check out this hotly anticipated fiesta come 29 May. As one of Singapore’s front runners in all things hospitality and design-driven F&B spaces, The Lo & Behold Group will be staging its inaugural month-long festival that will last until 25 June.
The festival will be headlined by seven events every weekend at the company’s most popular establishments (read: the places mentioned above) with an aim to encourage overworked adults to take a break. Here we give you a rundown on what to expect.
Here’s a food fight that’ll entice all pizza lovers: Director of Grain, Chef Ming Tan and founder of Artichoke Chef Bjorn Shen will be competing against each other in one delicious showdown. The highlight? The pizzas made by the chefs will be free of charge for all spectators (who will be voting for their favourite) for the first two hours.
As Singapore’s first gin garden bar, The Rabbit Hole will be holding an intimate gin workshop that will appeal to fans of the alcohol. But be quick though, there are only 20 spots available with tickets priced at $98 each. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to bring back a homemade gin and tonic cocktail kit.
The Black Swan have partnered with Sunshine Nation (the brains behind Garden Beats festival) for a jazzy, glamorous shindig. This three-floor extravaganza will feature exciting performances including electric jazz and cirque coquetry. Be sure to dress in your fanciest outfit for this luxurious soiree.
Looking for a cool brunch spot to have your casual meet-ups with your favourite girlfriends? Hit up Tanjong Beach Club for this one-of-a-kind brunch experience. From a live carving station to an aphrodisiac oyster bar, this exclusive treat is priced at $98++ per person with an additional charge of $25++ for free flow of drinks – and by that we mean, alcohol.
For something more fun and upbeat, here’s a beachside revelry not to miss. This special edition of Smack My Beach Up will feature British-Japanese sensation, DJ Elli Arakawa who will be spinning her latest tracks ranging from soulful deep house to 80s disco beats.
Attendees at this tea workshop will learn more about the health benefits of drinking tea and other delicious alternatives to detox. Be quick to get your spot as there will only be 10 spaces available at the price of $65 each.
Riverdale fans: you’re gonna love this special edition of Overeasy’s Guilty Pleasures series. To celebrate its anniversary, the establishment has organised a back-to-school themed party taking cues from the popular Netflix series. If you plan on attending, be sure to dress in your most stylish school outfit because the best-dressed gets a prize. Get ready to groove to feel-good tunes with local DJs, KiDG and Hookstyle on deck.
