If you’re looking for films to watch in the upcoming months, how about the book to movie adaptations below? From a murder mystery on a train to a horror flick (with a clown, no less), remember to read the books before these films hit cinemas:
This supernatural horror film is based on Stephen King’s popular 1986 novel of the same name. The book focuses on the journey of a group of misfit eleven-year-old children as they discover and ultimately confront a mysterious and deadly entity simply referred to as It. While a horror story, the book does deal with themes such as friendship, sacrifice and overcoming evil.

This romance-disaster flick has already garnered much attention due to the two big stars in the lead roles – English actors Kate Winslet and Idris Alba. Based on Charles Martin’s 2011 novel, we can’t wait to see how Winslet and Alba play off each other as they portray two strangers having to rely on one another as the charter plane they were on crashes into the wilderness.

Based on American author Madeleine L’Engle’s famous and award-winning 1963 novel, this science-fantasy and adventure film is shaping up to be a dazzling ride if the just released trailer is anything to go by. Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Zach Galifianakis stars, but honestly we will watch the movie just for Oprah in out-of-this-world costume.
