The Wes Anderson connection among fashion brands who are popping up with Christmas films this time of the year is getting stronger. After Mulberry’s outing with The Grand Budapest Hotel writer, H&M is the next brand to tap on the Anderson effect. This time round, it ropes in the American director himself for a four-minute short called Come Together.

Set on board a train which has its schedule upended due to bad weather, the film comes with major The Darjeeling Limited vibes. There’s also plenty of Anderson’s film tropes throughout. Cue the pastel interiors, the symmetry in the cinematography, the quirky acting, and Adrien Brody who stars in the short as the mustachioed train conductor tasked with bringing Christmas joy to the stranded passengers.

For someone accustomed to topsy turvy family dynamics and plot (can someone say the Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom?), Anderson’s effort for H&M would give you that warm fuzzy feeling by the end of the film. By Imran Jalal.
