A survey of Asian women’s shoe shopping habits, released recently by Chic Outlet Shopping, prove that a pair of stylish kicks have a lasting impact. Carried out in March 2016, the study compiled answers from 1,000 women in Singapore and Malaysia and found that one-third of those surveyed base their first impression of someone on the kind of shoes they’re wearing.
Another interesting finding: that women in Singapore spend up to $204,000 on shoes in their lifetime. And while our love for sneakers isn’t dying out anytime soon, there’s a new shoe style that we predict will be on everyone’s shopping list because it’s versatile enough for work and play.
We’re referring to mules: They’re easy to match (it goes with midi skirts, pants, basically everything), creates the illusion of longer legs, and give you instant streetstyle cred. Here, our favourite styles to own, from Mansur Gavriel’s sexy suede pair to Gucci’s eye-catching renditions.
