Think of them as fashion’s versions of the highlighters we used back in school, and expect to be saturated in every shade of the rainbow.

awang
Alexander Wang Spring 2017

Highlighter hues first popped up at Wang’s show, where it was paired with anything from sweatshirts to handbags to athletic… negligees? Well, when New York’s reigning prince of cool settles his eye on something, you can bet it’s gonna take off.

vb
Victoria Beckham Spring 2017

Posh continues her winning streak as a fashion designer – this season, she clues into the neon trend by washing and crushing silk and Fall 2016’s most popular fabric, velvet. Now there’s a way to do two trends all at once, and who better to do it than trendsetter Spice?

siriano
Christian Siriano Spring 2017

The most successful contestant to emerge from the good old days of Project Runway, Siriano is going big with day-glo, splashing it all out on head-to-toe matchy matchy outfits such as these zesty shades. We love how intensely vivid his take on orange is – the colour might be another sub-trend to watch out for, having also appeared repeatedly in Victoria Beckham’s collection. It’s early days yet, but worth noting.
