It may be a tad early, but here are some of Spring/Summer 2018’s best bags – they’ll start to hit stores next month, so… start saving?
With its breezy, seaside-hued S/S’18 runway collection, Tod’s is betting big on pastels this season and we’re totally on board with that – how refreshing is that teal colour?
The runway set at Dior’s S/S’18 show was covered in a mosaic of broken mirror shards and this beautiful mini Lady Dior bag is the wearable version of that.
The Clasp bag, first introduced in S/S’17, remains a runaway hit for Celine and it’s easy to see why – it comes across as both timeless yet contemporary. It’s been updated in an unusual sage green hue this season and I’m really liking it.
Looking to be the next classic of the house, the Hermes 2002 shoulder bag features a lovely art deco-esque clasp – possibly a slightly abstract take on the famous H logo?
Chloe’s super cute Pixie bag comes in geometric motifs this season and it really works superbly with the bag’s circular design – the Pixie is probably only going to get more popular.
Let’s face it, Chanel bags whatever season are always going to be popular – but I do like this shimmery, holographic one for S/S’18.
Mulberry’s S/S’18 collection is particularly strong this season (all those colours!) but its with the accessories where they’ve really knocked it out of the park – this apple green embellished number is sure to draw all the magpie-types.
I love the slightly boho edge Saint Laurent has to it this season and these XXS bags are the perfect novelties to hold your trinkets.
Comic book prints were all over Prada’s S/S’18 show and I particularly like this studded number – though there’s a lot going on, somehow all the disparate elements – the colour-blocking, studs and comic book print blended into one well-shaken cocktail.
Love artisanal objet d’arts? (Duh, who doesn’t). Loewe’s intricate tasselled hobo looks like it was pieced together by hand in some Moroccan village – in the best possible sense. Be prepared to see a lot of this bag and (the pastel-coloured ones) come fashion month.
We’re totally digging Gucci’s new “Guccy” logo and what’s even better for S/S’18: the retro treatment courtesy of the ’80s video game-esque font.
