Unlike Bruno Mars and his “Versace On The Floor” loving ways, not everyone has the pizzazz to pull off head-to-toe scarf prints a la the models at the Versace Tribute collection. But here’s a more palatable and easier way to cop one of the most photographed collections at the recent S/S ’18 shows: A limited edition T-shirt line.
For starters, that said outing rehashes some of the most iconic prints that the late Gianni Versace created in his career during 1991-1995. Among them are the Warhol, Native Americans and Baroque prints which were interpreted by his sister Donatella Versace on retro-style silhouettes such as boxy jackets and micro mini dresses.
The T-shirt collection takes that direction by plastering five of the most iconic prints — “Vogue”, “Pop Art”, “Tresor De La Mer”, “Wild Baroque” and “Native Americans” — from the show all over the pieces. To make it even more of a collectable, each piece sports a label stating the year the print is from. The capsule line is available on www.versace.com and from the brand’s boutiques in Paragon and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. $1,120-$1,520
