We all know Narelle Kheng the pop star – vocalist and bassist of Singapore’s pop band-of-the-moment The Sam Willows (whose sophomore album is slated to drop anytime now). And we all know Narelle Kheng the romantic artist, who turned a former canteen on the roof of a rundown industrial building into 21 Moonstone, a co-working-space-meets-dive bar that’s meant to foster a community for indie creative types. Of course, there’s also Narelle Kheng, millennial icon – unafraid to speak her mind, question and embrace everything and everyone (just look her up on Youtube).

So what happens when FEMALE Singapore invited her to join us in Paris – often hailed the fashion capital of fashion capitals – for her first official Fashion Week experience during the latest Fall Winter 2018 season in March?

Here, the first episode in our mini web series documenting her time with us, starting with her very exclusive invite to Chloé’s show – the second by the brand’s effortlessly edgy creative director Natacha Ramsay-Levi – as well as its headquarters, where Kheng got to see the ’70s-inflected, boho-meets-medieval collection up close. How will it influence her very millennial view of fashion? Hit the play button.
