Underground Movement

For fashionistas
Trustfun

Founders: Sarah Tan, 31, and Lynn Visudharomn, 25, former editor and fashion stylist respectively of Female, are familiar faces on the who’s who circuit. And they’ve attended the world’s best gigs.

“Most clubs are music-centric, but we’re about creating the sweet spot where the crowd, the indie electro-pop music and the fashion theme converge – like a mini fashion show. We’ve collaborated with home-grown fashion innovators, like clothing store Blackmarket’s New Black party at House,” says Lynn.

Party Cred: Fashion personalities like designer Mark Eley of Brit label Eley Kishimoto, and Andre Saraiva, Parisian graffiti artist and co-owner of Le Baron club, have made guest appearances and played DJ sets.

Dream Event:
“A huge party under the Eiffel Tower, featuring Daft Punk, with guests like Kate Moss, Martin Margiela, Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno, and model Erin Wasson.”

Play List: – Justice featuring Uffie • Pon de Floor – Major Lazer • Lisztomania – Phoenix.

Their Best Bash: “Last April, we threw our second party, Rated One-X, at Mimolette for the launch of Belvedere’s latest vodka, IX. Andre Saraiva designed the bottle and we managed to get him down for a surprise appearance. We had over 500 guests despite the storm that night and many stayed past 3am.

I knew we did something right when Andre told us that it was one of the best parties he had been to, because that guy really knows his parties.”

To Good Health
Most women here seem to think using just moisturiser is enough, let alone adding a pre-serum booster to their routine. So why is L’Oreal launching one? According to the brand, the most basic principle of skincare is giving it a healthy start. Natasha Chiam reports.

Turn up the lights
Neon lips don’t have to be a tacky relic from the ’80s. This season’s are still bright, but rich and matte, not fluorescent, and best worn with natural-looking eyes.

Hair Apparent
When it comes to makeup brushes, the key thing is how soft they are. And cult Japanese brand Artisan & Artist, famous for its calligraphy brush heritage, really knows how to make them oh-so-soft (if we had blankets made from them, we’d never get out of bed). How? Because each hair is placed and cut by hand at a specific angle so there’s zero scratch. Bonus point: All natural hairs are cruelty free, which means no animals are killed or hurt to produce the brushes. At Schmidt Marketing Flagship Store.
