Its new packaging is reportedly referred to as “white gold” and was made together with French porcelain brand Bernardaud, whose French savoir-faire stretches back five generations and more than 150 years. The two have teamed up to create a refillable pot with a timeless design with a glossy black enamel finish topped with 24K gold. The lid bears the brand’s iconic “G” and reveals a white interior in bisque porcelain that is built to last through the years.

Besides its gorgeous packaging, the cream itself is one to note. Retaining to its original formula that harnesses the power of its key ingredient, the black orchid to create the Blackimmune Technology, this strengthens the skin and reduces the visible signs of ageing. With continuous use, the skin becomes more resistant, the texture is more refined and facial contours look more defined. Bonus: it even helps to boost radiance and hydrate for a plumper, healthier-looking complexion.

Verdict: it may put a hole in your pocket, but we’re of the belief that skincare is worth the investment. After all, who wants a tired, dull complexion?

The Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Black The Cream is now available at Guerlain counters at Tangs Plaza, Takashimaya D.S. and Metro Paragon.
