5 New Beauty Brands You Can Shop At Sephora

#1: Hourglass
What: The American beauty brand makes its return here this March (it was one of the brands Sephora brought in when it first set up shop here). Founded in 2004, it’s popular for its range of luxe highlighting and bronzing products. Buy: The Ambient Lighting Blush, a single shade with marble-like swirls that also contains highlighting powders for a natural-looking, radiant finish. The Modernist Eyeshadow Palette comes with colours in a range of matte and shimmery textures so they are easily blendable and buildable, and are reportedly crease-resistant too. For strobing, go for the Ambient Lighting Palette – the three shades in the compact diffuse and soften the way light is reflected on skin, brightens the complexion and blurs imperfections. #2: Becca Cosmetics
What: Founded by Australian makeup artist Rebecca Williams, the brand is known for highlighters that give skin a natural-looking, flawless finish and is now available in stores. Buy: The Backlight Priming Filter, a lightweight fluid that creates a soft, luminous glow for your complexion and feels cool on skin. The limited edition Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, created in collaboration with Youtube beauty star Jaclyn Hill, is a creamy powder that gives skin a lustrous, pearly sheen (and it’s the product that reaped in over $1 million in sales within two hours of its US launch). #3: Erborian
What: The nine-year-old beauty brand that combines French skincare expertise with Korean ingredients like traditional herbs. It launches in Sephora stores here on March 31. Buy: The BB and CC creams – the former provides more coverage and mattifies the complexion, while the latter has more skincare benefits which reduce the appearance of fine lines. The Yuza Sorbet range contains the anti-oxidant-rich Yuza extract to strengthen skin barrier and keep skin moisturised. #4: This Works
What: Its founder Kathy Phillips was formerly Vogue’s health and beauty director, and its products are suitable for all skin types and are paraben/sulfate/GMO/petroleum-free. The launch is slated for May 5. Buy: The Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, which reportedly helps users to get better beauty sleep and feel more refreshed in the morning. It comprises a floral blend of lavender, wild vetiver and wild chamomile as well as the brand’s signature fragrance, which has been clinically proven to have calming, comforting properties. Lavender helps relieve tension, camomile soothes and vetivert helps to allieviate stress. Or try Light Time Open Eyes eye cream to de-puff and lift the eye area – it has hyaluronic acid and crambe oil to moisturise and plump up skin. #5: Dr Jart+
What: The Korean skincare brand that first started out with BB creams and now offers everything from anti-ageing products to ones formulated for sensitive skin. It’ll be stocked on Sephora shelves come March. Buy: The Ceramidin Cream, an ultra-moisturising cream that contains ceramidin, an essential component of skin structure and strengthens skin barrier and prevents moisture from evaporating. The Day Tint has the added benefit of UVA and UVB protection. Supplement these with the Ceramidin sheet mask if you have especially dry skin.   Like this? These are the 3 makeup products you should invest in this month.
