A duo of trained skincare formulators is behind the creation of the brand
Female entrepreneurs and skincare formulators Elsie and Dominika – both of whom have diplomas in Natural Skincare Formulation – founded BYBI Beauty in 2017. They first came to fame with their blog Clean Beauty Insiders, which is currently the UK’s largest natural beauty platform, and are recognised as pioneers in the natural beauty field.
The brand was created to fill a hole in the beauty industry
BYBI stands for “By Beauty Insiders”, and was started because both founders wanted to create products that they wanted to use themselves but were unable to find in the market. Elsie and Dominika wanted to formulate clean skincare that were effective and designed to optimise your skin’s overall health, instead of just treating one problem.
The brand is all about sustainability
Not only does BYBI Beauty use ingredients that are 100 per cent natural, vegan and cruelty free, its packaging is both adorable and eco-friendly. All of its plastic tubes are made out of sugarcane-derived bioplastic tubes that are both recyclable and industrially compostable. For other products, the brand uses glass (which is infinitely recyclable) wherever possible. They also print on the glass rather than use labels, which makes it easier for recycling.
BYBI Beauty’s products are super effective
We’ve tried a couple of their skincare and we’re already obsessed! If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend the Babe Balm ($35) and Strawberry Booster ($23). The former is a multi-purpose beauty balm that can be used as an intense night treatment for the face and neck, or a repairing salve for chapped, flaky skin and lips. The latter contains cold-pressed strawberry seed oil and works as a potent skin booster to maximise your existing skincare routine. You can add a couple of drops to your serums or moisturisers, or use it straight up and apply it directly to skin to nourish and soothe.
And they don’t break the bank
Despite using high quality ingredients, BYBI Beauty products are really affordable. Available at Sephora, their skincare starts from $18, with a majority of their products costing less than $50, so you really get a lot of bang for your buck.
