Scented body oils

Clockwise from top left: Aveda Stress-Fix Composition Oil, $52. Skin really drinks this up – and is instantly smoother. Bonus: The refreshing lavender scent is reportedly a mood-booster.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Body Oil, $110. A lightweight blend of skin-nourishing oils – olive fruit, grapeseed and date seed – infused with a musky, powdery scent.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil, $80. The minty-smelling blend of essential plant oils (geranium, rosemary and mint) reportedly helps to tone and firm skin, and even improves the appearance of stretch marks.

Aesop Geranium Leaf Hydrating Body Treatment, $47. Made with moisturising macadamia nut oil and soothing geranium leaf oil, its relaxing scent helps when you have trouble sleeping. Best after a shower – it absorbs much better then.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Beautifying Oil, $22.90. Our favourite thing about this is its invigorating citrusy scent, but there’s more: Marula oil and cocoa butter keep skin hydrated.

Shu Uemura Art Of Hair Essence Absolue Nourishing Oil For Body And Hair, $78. With a blend of camellia, sesame and almond oils, this does double duty: Spritz onto palms and spread over skin to moisturise, then apply whatever’s left on your hands to the ends of your hair to add gloss.

Dior J’Adore Dry Silky Body Oil, $100. You’ll like this quick-drying oil if you’re a fan of the J’Adore Dior EDP – it smells exactly like it, with added ylang ylang oil to nourish skin. The scent is strong, so four to five drops will do.
