Beauty mantra
“My mother leads by example, which is “less is more”. She literally doesn’t wear any foundation or makeup. Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to wear them too until I was 16, and I think it’s good for me. I don’t wear a lot of makeup in my downtime, but I like to wear mascara because I have blond lashes. I feel insecure about it.”

Her beauty routine “My routine just involves cleansing, lotion and a moisturiser. When you have a routine, your skin really appreciates it. My skin is happy, although I do have the normal hormonal spots issue. I don’t really use masks, though I should. I should be using them every few days, but I probably only use them like twice a month. I take about five minutes to finish my routine; there’s not a lot of maintenance. I think I only got three facials last year.”

Favourite skincare product Cle de Peau Beaute‘s La Creme. My skin looks so much better after using it. It’s a lot of steps beyond what you can find on the market now, and I never leave home without it.”

Best makeup tip “The importance of contouring. My eyes have a specific shape that I’m not crazy about, and contouring it with shadow can actually make it look more awake and alive.”

Three makeup items she can’t live without “Eyebrow pencil, mascara and concealer.”

The makeup item that best represents her “A red lipstick. I’m a Sagittarius, so I can be full of energy but still feminine and low maintenance. It’s a statement.”

Favourite body part “My lips. They’re big and I’m confident about them. I like their shape.”

Latest beauty fad she’s trying “Coconut oil pulling. I do that every night. I swish coconut oil in my mouth for 20 minutes. It whitens your teeth and is apparently good for your health.”

Best complexion in Hollywood “Meryl Streep has amazing skin. She glows!”

On getting ready for the red carpet “I don’t care what my styling team decides. I know what I don’t want. But generally I let the experts decide.”

What’s in her bag at events “I bring whatever lipstick I’m wearing, keys, money, mobile phone and some gum. The purses are tiny, and not very practical.”
