If you already swear by this cult favourite: As part of the Chinese New Year festivities, Estee Lauder repackages its signature Advanced Night Repair serum in a gift-perfect, limited-edition ruby red bottle while keeping to its best-selling, ChronoluxCB Technology-backed formula that claims to help reduce the appearance of lines as one sleeps. Hyaluronic acid simultaneously locks in moisture and intensely hydrates skin. Better than any red packet, we say.
(From left) For fast results: As its name suggests, YSL Beaute’s new Pure Shots – which covers a lotion, three daytime serums, one for night and a plumping cream – promises to be a quick fix with ultra-potent formulas created using the most active botanicals from the brand’s Ourika Gardens.
To target the trickiest spots: Kanebo’s new Wrinkle-Lift Serum is a firming treatment specifically for areas around the eyes, mouth and forehead (ie the ones that show signs of ageing first), promising to work deep at the dermis level to promote hyaluronic acid and collagen production.
If you’re into Hanbang skincare: Formerly known as Timetreasure Invigorating Cream, Sulwhasoo elevates its rich anti-ageing moisturiser with anti-inflammatory reishi mushroom, Active Ginseng Cell and S-phytoalexin – a bean-derived skin barrier-restoring ingredient – and a new name: Timetreasure Honorstige Cream. (PS. The serum from the same line has been similarly updated.)
For some truly hight-tech self-care: Meet Capture Totale C.E.L.L. Energy, a new skincare line from Dior Beauty that promises to effectively reactivate the revitalising abilities of our natural stem cells (read: skin’s powerhouses that are the source of all our tissues yet weaken with time). Every product in the range – the Gentle Cleanser, Serum-Lotion, Super Potent Serum, Creme and Eye Creme – boasts Madagascan longoza, Chinese peony, white lily and Chinese jasmine, all found to have extraordinary regenerative power when combined. Skin is said to look more radiant in just a week while a plumping effect leaves it firmer and more youthful.
