The cult Canadian makeup brand has long been a favourite of industry insiders for their bold colours and fun style (see the upcoming Zac Posen x MAC makeup collaboration here). But what really sets it apart is its commitment to giving back. In 1994, founders Frank Angelo and Frank Toskan banded together with M.A.C artists to create the M.A.C AIDS Fund in a grass roots effort to make a difference with a community outreach for HIV/AIDS.
The Viva Glam arm of the brand creates limited edition products that help raise awareness for AIDS, with 100 per cent of the proceeds of every item sold going directly to people affected by the disease. Past spokespersons include Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few.
The 22-year-old singer’s collection, which includes a deep, matte plum lipstick and light pink lipglass, will be launched in Jan 2016. The colours are totally on trend, and you’ll be spending for a good cause. What more can you ask for?
