Instead of heading to the usual duty-free counters, check out Giorgio Armani’s newest boutique located at Changi Airport next to The Shilla Duty Free at Changi Airport Terminal 1 (its directly in front of the departure gates), Transit Departure Area from now to 26 April 2018, which was created in partnership with The Shilla Duty Free and Changi Airport Group.
Reflecting designer Giorgio Armani’s passion for life out at sea, the retail outlet, known as the Armani Yacht Club animation, is a concept that recreates the serenity and sophistication of his luxury yacht, through the beautiful decor and interior – think light birch wood floors, deep green walls that reminiscent that of military ships and cut-outs on the ceiling to allow natural light to stream in from above for that Instagram-worthy shot.
Besides its cool interior, the yacht club concept is also the first in Travel Retail Asia Pacific to welcome the sensual Acqua di Gio Absolu, the brand’s new fragrance for men for its iconic Acqua di Gio Homme franchise. True to the entire marine theme of the pop-up, the aquatic fragrance features three key notes of patchouli, marine note and labdanum to create a sensual, elegant and warm scent. Looking for something less intense? Opt for the Eau de Toilette that’s both refreshing and pure. The Profumo, on the other hand, is much more concentrated and masculine.
To enhance your shopping experience, the brand has introduced a fragrance barometer digital application (don’t worry, it’s touch screen), which helps shoppers pick a scent according to their preferences, as well as to explore the other Acqua di Gio Absolu and Armani Code fragrances. The immersive digital experience allows travellers to select three favourite key notes from a playful barometer sailing tool, which will then reveal the prefered fragrance of their choice. Consumers can then navigate the barometer sailing tool to adjust the perfume intensity level and discover their final perfume blend from Giorgio Armani that best encapsulates their personality.
And if that is not impressive enough, there is even a photobooth with a simulated water zone (yes, there’s actual water at the bottom) available for consumers to indulge in a real-life yacht experience. The chadburn can be turned to switch between digital visuals shown on the backdrop to take photos.
Bonus: Consumers at the Armani Yacht Club animation will be treated to a complimentary engraving service for a fragrance leather case, scented nautical bracelet or an Acqua di Gio Absolu travel spray for every purchase of an Acqua di Gio men’s fragrance. What’s not to like?
