Beauty Writer Sofia Kim's Favourite Products For The Month Of March

In this monthly column, beauty junkie and writer Sofia Kim shares all the current makeup and skincare products she's been using religiously on rotation for the month of March.
#1: Diorsnow Perfect Glow Cushion, $105
These days, I have been applying lesser makeup and prefer natural coverage base products instead of my usual full coverage foundations. I have been gravitating towards this brightening cushion compact as it is fortified with an Advanced Brightening Edelweiss Complex to instantly and continuously boost skin’s radiance over time. Additionally, it has an uber hydrating formula that supposedly lasts for 24 hours. My skin appears more even, luminous and fresh without any discomfort post-application. #2: IDS Skincare Tinted Sunscreen, SPF50+ PA+++, $69
On days when I don’t even feel like applying any foundation, I reach out to this tinted sunscreen. It does not leave a white cast on my skin and has a lightweight, blendable formula that is not too sticky or tacky. It helps to even out my skin tone and lightly cover any redness. Botanical extracts and antioxidants protect and prevent skin from the effects of photo-aging, UV radiation and sunburn. #3: Chanel Baume Essential in Scultping, $69
Instead of using highlighters, I opt for this silky gel stick that imparts luminosity and a natural glow to the skin. It does not leave a sticky or greasy residue and instead feels fresh and hydrating. The best part? You can apply this all over your face: on cheekbones for a fresh and dewy effect, on cheeks before applying cream blush for a sheer wash of color, on eyelids for a shiny finish, or on the brow bone to define the arch. #4: Diorskin Nude Luminizer Powder in No. 09, $95
I use this as both a blusher and highlighter as it illuminates the high points of my face while imparting a fresh coral shade that is still very natural and subtle. Bonus: it smells heavenly. #5: YSL Beaute Rouge Volupte Shine in No. 86, $52
This is definitely one of the most pigmented tinted lip balms I have used without compromising on the hydration benefits. My puckers feel soft and plump, and it has been my go-to especially when crossing borders. It is formulated with 65 per cent oil-based composition that is made up of six key oils and pomegranate extract to provide six key benefits – high shine, sheerness, smoothness, hydration, comfort and a formula that melts comfortably onto your  lips. #6: Shu Uemura Blanc Chroma Cleansing Oil, $125
I never skip out on double cleansing as part of my nighttime skincare routine and I always reach out for cleansing oils as they typically contain other skin-loving benefits and it is really fuss-free to apply too (I usually just do it in the shower). This is made with Japanese charcoal, which acts as a super magnet to absorb micro-impurities stuck within pores for a deep cleansing and purifying action. Bilberries then exfoliate and accelerate cellular renewal for a more radiant and translucent complexion while tea ferment prevents the production of yellowish proteins for a more even skin tone. #7: Dr. Jart+ V7 Pink Toning, $77, Sephora
I prefer applying this in the morning as it doubles up as a brightening primer thanks to its natural pink tint to brighten my skin tone and even out my complexion. It is powered by seven different types of vitamins to provide antioxidant care, treat wrinkles and deeply hydrate for plump, smooth skin. #8: Lilac Matte Liquid Lip in Zahara, US$17
Besides its hydrating formula that sits comfortably on lips, this comes in a chic and portable packaging (it is smaller than your usual liquid lipsticks yet holds a ton of product) that is great for traveling. I also love how wearable and versatile this shade is. #9: Shiseido Makeup ControlledChaos MascaraInk, $50
I only need to apply a few coats of this – and without an eyelash curler – to achieve voluminous, well-coated lashes that actually last through the day thanks to a blend of film formers and polymers that set and seal the formula for a reported 24 hours. Its innovative brush design features two concave sides to boost the volume of lashes (Asian lashes, rejoice) while the two flat sides lengthens. Main image:
