After having spent the past 24 years at its former Wheelock Place base, Clarins Skin Spa has found a new home at Ion Orchard (#04-19). Inspired by its founder Jacques Courtin-Clarins’ holistic philosophy that skin healing begins from within, the new spa has a cosy, intimate interior of light oak, whites, and lush greeneries that is meant to calm the mind. And here’s something you’ll want to know. To celebrate the occasion, all 60-minute facial and body treatments at the new spa will be priced at $90 from 1st February 2020 to 30th June 2020. It’s time to go treat yourself!
Move aside Kylie Cosmetics, HERA has a new collection of lippies that promises to plump up your puckers so you won’t even have to line them. The new Sensual Spicy Nude range contains Methylpropanediol, which promises to be 2.5 times more effective than conventional menthol ingredients. It is said to be able to enhance lip volume and smoothen out wrinkles by promoting blood circulation without any temperature change.
The Sensual Spicy nude collection consists of four Glosses ($43 each) and six Balms ($43 each). All of the lippies are made with a combination of pigment milling technique
Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but we’re open to being BFFs with the new Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance Liquid Makeup SPF 20/PA+++ ($145). Each bottle of this skin-perfecting liquid foundation is infused with two Peridot stones. Named the “Gem of the Sun” by ancient Egyptians, peridots are said to be able to boost skin’s natural energy to boost skin vibrancy and radiance. And as if that’s not impressive enough, the foundation also has micro-fine gem extracts from jade, sapphires, rubies and pearls to scatter light and boost skin luminousity. Each bottle is almost like it’s own little treasure chest.
If like us, you’re a fan of Epion Clinic, then you’ll be happy to know that it now has a sister medispa. Located on the second floor of Tudor Court, the 1,600 square feet space follows the same elegant Art Deco design language as the Clinic below on level one. Epion Aesthetics will offer all your favourite medi-facials – like the Signia treatment that gives an instant glow – available at the clinic, as well as a few new ones. One to try is the Collagen Therapy ($495 for 90 minutes), which uses the E2 Sublime machine and LED red light therapy to tighten skin, eliminate enlarged pores and soften fine lines.
Dark circles, eye bags, dullness, sagging skin, dehydration, fine lines and increased sensitivity are all signs of skin fatigue that could be precursors to cutaneous burnout. Exhausted skin tends to be so lacking in nutrients that it can no longer repair by itself. To address this issue that many busy women face, Dior Beauty has launched the new Prestige Le Micro-Caviar De Rose ($550), which addresses three specific deficiencies induced by fatigue: potassium for cellular metabolism energy, omegas to treat micro-fissures and ceramides for cellular cohesion.
Each bottle of Prestige Le Micro-Caviar De Rose is infused with 22 micro-nutrients to help replenish skin deficiencies caused by fatigue and help to soothe and repair skin. To be used as a three-month intensive treatment or as in SOS when skin is under attack or feeling stressed, the gel-cream is infused with encapsulated pearls that melt into skin to plump and nourish it for eight hours straight.
