Sephora Playhouse: The Biggest Beauty Pop-Up You Have To Check Out

We love a good pop-up store and lately, we’ve had a ton – think L’occitane’s A Journey In Every Sense (which also featured a cafe) and Chanel’s uber fun Coco Game Centre. As brands now challenge the idea of pop-up shops, this upcoming venture by Sephora has us really excited.

The beauty giant is going big for its first ever pop-up exhibit known as Sephora Playhouse located at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 20-29 July. As this will only be open to the brand’s beauty pass members, make sure to sign up here, via the app or in-store with your first purchase. And remember to download the app – it is the key to entry.

So… what can we expect from this pop-up? First, there will be exciting exclusive launches including Too Faced’s highly anticipated Peaches and Cream Collection as well as Benefit’s Pretty In The U.S.A. set, which includes a Hoola Matte Bronzer, Rockateur Rose Gold Blush, Dandelion Twinkle and a Goof Proof Mini Pencil. There will even be exclusive deals (read: win a free deluxe-size Troublemaker Mascara, a Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Vol.III-Highlighting and a sequin mermaid pouch and more) that you definitely do not want to miss.

Additionally, workshops will be available throughout the course of the pop-up. On 22 July from 4pm to 5pm,  Fresh will serve up a delicious mask menu of jam crackers and on 21 July at 6pm, Benefit’s brow expert will share brow-grooming tips, together with a free hair-braiding session. You can even check out a live makeup demo hosted by Kat Von D’s resident makeup artist on 21 July, 3pm.

To enhance your experience, Strongbow, Evian Natural Mineral Water and Creamier will provide refreshments and ice-cream. If that’s not impressive enough, the entire pop-up will house nine different themed – and interactive – rooms from various brands. Here, everything you need to know about each room.

#1: Sephora Collection
The space will feature a life-sized lip tube to pose in after you enjoy a complimentary lip makeover from the brand’s beauty advisors, as well as a cream lip slide. #2: Benefit Cosmetics
Drawing its influence from American diners and ice cream parlours (note: you can even order coffee and ice cream), this fun space even features a ball pit to rest in and enjoy your treats. P/S: there’s even a brow bar to get your favourite products. #3: Estee Lauder
Blue light (the light emitted from electronic devices) is increasingly becoming a cause for concern, what with its damaging effects on skin. This room is inspired exactly by that and features a blue light mirror maze. #4: Fenty Beauty
Fenty Beauty’s room invites guests to lounge and indulge in a majestic Moroccan mood, in honour of the brand’s new Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette. #5: Fresh
The Fresh beauty kitchen is a space where all of the brand’s natural ingredients come to life. Sky blue, an iconic colour of the brand, fills the entire space, signifying endless possibilities, which is a spirit the brand values. #6: Kat Von D
True to the brand’s grunge aesthetic, the entire room is decked out in dark hues where visitors can learn more about its signature products and inspirations. #7: Tarte
Taking cues from its Rainforest of the Sea collection, the underwater inspired room will feature IG-worthy props and setups like cool optical illusion of creatures under the sea, marine algae and flower extracts. #8: Too Faced
It’s not just a picture-perfect setting made for your #OOTD, the brand’s signature scent will be released at the push of a peach, so you’ll definitely leave the room smelling super fruity too. #9: Urban Decay
