Unfortunately not all of us are blessed with naturally thick, fluffy brows, but between microblading, tweezing, tinting, and threading, there’s a million different ways we can groom our brows into the Instagram-worthy arches we all desire. And now the newest trend in eyebrow grooming, brow lamination, is set to take things up a notch.
It might sound like something you would find in an office supplies catalogue, but brow lamination promises slicked-up brows with a high-shine finish (just like the brows you’ve seen all over your Instagram Explore page). The technique, which originated in Russia, involves lifting and tinting the brows to achieve a finish similar to microblading but doesn’t actually involve any blades. Instead, lamination helps to add colour and definition without the downtime or scabbing you often get with microblading.
