Combining both hydrating and repairing properties, the mask uses a holistic approach to skincare to treat various concerns ranging from dullness, parched skin and signs of ageing. To achieve that, Chanel focuses on four key ingredients in its formula.
Firstly, patented Camellia Alba PFA stimulates key receptors in the cell membrane to rebuild essential lipids so that our skin is better able to retain – and maintain – high moisture levels. This then works together with Camellia Alba OFA, an active ingredient that has a similar composition to that of the upper layer of the epidermis. It is rich in polyphenols and essential fatty acids to reinforce the integrity of the skin barrier to protect it from further damage while ensuring plumper and smoother complexion.

To further enhance the benefits of the ingredients, Camellia Wax, which is naturally present in the skin’s hydrolipidic film, is infused into the formula. This nourishing active ingredient is combined with a hyaluronic acid derivative to provide a protective film on the face to prevent the evaporation of moisture and promote a plumping effect. Additionally, it improves the hydrating action of the Camellia Alba PFA and OFA active ingredients. Lastly, panthenol is included to repair and protect the skin barrier.

For a quick hydrating action, apply a generous amount on the skin and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with water. It can also be used as an overnight sleeping mask if a thin layer is applied and massaged into the skin.
