This 60-minute brightening facial begins with a relaxing dry massage using pressing movements on my shoulders, body and hands. My therapist then double-cleanses my face, before applying a gentle peel, made up of a mixture of fruit acids and liquorice, for its skin-soothing properties. This is followed by a 15-minute facial massage using a whitening cocktail (exclusive to the spa) to lighten existing pigmentation as well as boost skin luminosity. As a last step, the therapist applies a gel-cream peel-off mask for the face to boost radiance, as well as a firming balm-textured mask for the neck and decolletage. The masks are left on for about 10 minutes, during which my face is treated to a gentle massage. After removing the masks, my therapist finishes up the treatment by applying Clarins skincare onto my face.
This is not one of those treatments where you have to wait to see the results. My complexion had an obvious rosy glow after the facial, and my pimple scars appeared less obvious. I also saw an improvement in my skin texture and tone, and my jawline also looked more sculpted. It was also extremely relaxing, thanks to the many massages during the treatment. $185, Clarins Skin Spa (#05-05/07 Wheelock Place), tel: 6838-5060
