They’re known for their use of Asian medicinal herbs like ginseng, and Sulwhasoo aims to showcase the brand’s expertise in harnessing the power of such herbs in its three-week-old store.
A sleek, curved counter at its entrance highlights the brand’s philosophy of holistic beauty, while key ingredients like the brand’s signature Jaum Balancing Complex, a concoction of five herbs that help balance skin and improve its firmness and elasticity, are displayed along the hallway as you walk into the 116 square metre-wide space, which predominantly features black and white colours accented with wood and brass furnishings.
Discreetly located in the middle of the store is a pampering zone housing two treatment rooms. There are four facials to try, two of which are exclusively available here. One boosts skin’s hydration levels, while the other purifies skin and restores radiance.
Three new beauty products have also been launched in tandem with the new store opening (and you can only buy them here). The Harmonizen Regenerating Cream ($808) contains red ginseng that reportedly regenerates skin. The Essentrue body cream ($70) and body serum ($106) come with a blend of oils – from ingredients such as camellia, apricot kernel and pine nut – to nourish and repair skin.
The store’s best feature? A cosy sitting area right at the back of the store, where you can find out more about various products in luxe comfort. #01-72/73 Capitol Piazza (tel: 6844-9766)
