M.A.C and Kose’s limited edition Cinderella collections are not just pretty to look at, they’re pretty functional too.
What: Mac’s limited edition Cinderella makeup collection ($33-$80) includes lipstick, gloss, eyeshadow, pressed powder and brushes, all of which have been dressed in powder blue covers bearing the movie’s logo. Eyeshadows come in six colours and range from matte to shimmery textures, while lip colours are in nude or pink colours.
Why: Apart from how collectible they are, the colours offered for lips and face are in warm, pinkish tones that are easy to pull off, while eye colours will provide a more dramatic look.
Where: From March 13 at Ngee Ann City and Bugis Junction stores.
What: Kose Sekkisei’s dark blue bottles are now dressed up with a glass slipper symbol and sparkly white cap. The lotion ($82), which has a soothing floral scent, contains oriental plant extracts like coix seed to brighten dull, dry skin. Use on the face, neck and body after cleansing. The BB Cream kit ($39) consists of a whitening BB cream (it has a lightweight texture that spreads easily and contains SPF 40/PA+++) and a cleansing oil (which helps remove waterproof makeup).
Why: The BB cream (there are two shades) and cleansing oil are in travel-friendly sizes. The lotion helps keep skin hydrated and refreshed, and also comes with a free coin pouch with every purchase.
Where: Available at all Kose beauty counters (Robinsons The Heeren Level 1).
