The new Laneige x Playnomore collection – a tie-up with the popular Korean street label that Kpop stars like model Irene Kim dig – is all about fun.
It comes across in the packaging – the fashion brand’s iconic design, affectionately called Shygirl (a pair of eyes with fluttery eyelashes that appear to be looking bashfully away) is on every single product. It’s also evident in the colours, which are bright, bold and cheery – even Singapore actress Jeanette Aw is a fan.
For face
Besides the BB cushion, the BB Cushion Pore Control ($59, available in two shades) comes in the same packaging and also has SPF50 properties. What it can do that the BB cushion can’t: It controls sebum production and helps cover up the appearance of large pores.
For lips
The Intense Lip Gel ($36) comes in 10 vibrant shades and give lips extra glossy shine while retaining moisture, so it doubles up as a lip balm, and will be a regular item in stores too once the collection launches.
For eyes
Apart from its cute packaging, the Jet Curling Mascara ($34) is a pretty handy makeup tool to have. It comes with a rubber brush that can be used vertically or horizontally, and the mascara itself is formulated to be more intense, smoother and easy to apply. Available in stores from Sep 3.
