London Fashion Week is well-known – and loved – for their wacky, out-there looks. But what stole the show for us was the simple and classic beauty look on the Burberry girls. It might be all fine and dandy to wear crazy makeup on the runway (especially if you’re a supermodel with flawless skin and bone structure), but the look that translates best from the show to the street is definitely the fresh-faced, glow-y complexions at Burberry.
But don’t be fooled by the deceptively clean faces: the brand’s makeup artistic consultant Wendy Rowe shares with us that there’s a science to creating the nude looks using natural contouring and highlighting. “Nudes are all about pulling out the tones of your skin,” she says. “We want to change your face with glow and sculpting. It’s all undetectable makeup that looks timeless and effortless.”
Keen to try it out yourself? Here are the products you’re going to need:

This limited edition lightweight illuminating face powder set with an intricate lace-pattern design helps to brighten and set.

This contouring pen is so easy to use and natural that it literally gives your face the appearance of sharper contours, instead of simply shading.

Apply this to all the peaks of your face (nose, forehead, etc) to give yourself more angles.

This natural tone gives depth to your eyes without adding too much colour.

A few coats of mascara (without liner) is all you need to make your peepers look wider and prettier, but still natural.

No Burberry look would be complete without the brand’s signature bold brows.

Finish up your look with either a sweet nude or a bold statement in red.
