Kat Von D Beauty’s new Lolita capsule collection is inspired by the brand’s dusty mauve lipstick shade that became immensely popular in 2015 for its easy-to-wear hue that’s great for every day, and flattering on almost any skin tone. Now, the iconic lippie has influenced a whole new collection — one where each product can be applied on its own or used to create a monochromatic look.
The Lolita Eyeshadow Palette comes with eight highly-pigmented, blendable matte shades all inspired by the rosy tones of Lolita, as mentioned above. Each shade name reflects the brand’s Latin heritage, and includes a variety of tones from dark burgundies to lighter pinks.
The collection will also feature the Everlasting Glimmer Veil Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. It is a rich, glittery (read: not gritty) liquid lippie that combines the same long-wear, weightless innovation behind the brand’s well-loved Everlasting Liquid Lipstick — with a multi-dimensional liquid-crystal glitter finish that has now been made available for the first time in the gorgeous chestnut rose shade.
Lastly, the Ink Well Long-Wear Matte Eyeliner in Lolita has also been included in the series. It boasts a waterproof, transfer-proof, and smudge-proof formula that reportedly lasts for 24 hours. The ergonomically designed felt tip that tapers to a precise point is inspired by the antique quill and ink system founder Kat used for her calligraphy lettering.
The collection is now available on the Sephora app and online, and in stores from 17 January 2019.
