6 Makeup Trends And Colours That Are So In Right Now

It's time to get a little experimental this Fall/Winter 2018.
#1: Coral
While applying blusher may be more commonly overlooked compared to more exciting products, it is one of the most romantic and fuss-free ways for an effortless makeup look. The shade the Fall/Winter 2018 season is obsessed with? Coral. It is a combination of pink, orange, yellow and red, and is super versatile plus, looks great on every skin tone while brightening complexions. Other areas where the colour can be applied: eyelids and lips. As seen at: House of Holland, Loewe and Prabal Gurung #2: Red
Red has always been considered as the most classic lipstick shade that’s timeless and will (possibly) never go out of trend. But this season, the red lip comes in a variety of finishes (some even smudged out for that desirable “just bitten” look) and has now become a point of conversation in the women’s empowerment movement. Tip: just ensure that you keep your eye makeup as clean as possible. As seen at: Alexander McQueen and Erdem  #3: Tan
After trying out red, green and other eyeshadow colours, it’s time to take it down a notch for the Fall season. The best way to do that is to use a tan coloured eyeshadow hue. Sweep it across your lids to enhance your natural skin tone or concentrate it on your crease for a more defined look. As seen at: Chanel and Off-White #4: Blue
But if you still wish to add some colour to your lids, try using blue – and no, it does not necessarily have to be uber bright. Pastel blues are great to add character to your makeup without overdoing it. As seen at: Boss #4: Blue
To glam up the look, incorporate the shade into a classic smokey eye. It’s edgy, a little fierce and perfect for a night out. Our tip: remember to smudge it onto your bottom lash line for a more complete and exaggerated look. As seen at: Carolina Herrera  #5: Gold
Gold makeup might be more commonly associated with highlighters, glosses or lip toppers but for the Fall season, try applying it on your lids instead. If flakes of gold (as seen on the picture above) are too much of a statement for you, using a shimmer shadow is good enough. As seen at: Ulla Johnson #6: Silver
If you’re not into the idea of having glitter peppered across your face, why not apply a touch of silver to the inner corner of your eyes? Giving off the same effect (read: shimmery and shiny), this helps to brighten up your peepers and make them appear a little bigger. As seen at: Fendi and Tommy Hilfiger  Images:
