Think of #PureColorPlayroom as a pop-up beauty tutorial lab helmed by the brand’s regional experts. Jerome Chan (left; IG @hewhomurderedlove) is chief makeup artist of the brand’s Singapore Pro Artist Team with over 12 years of experience and a flair for creating looks that are natural, wearable and that enhance one’s features. Anson Zhong (middle; IG: @anson_makeup) is a Global Pro artist who hails from China and has worked with the likes of supermodel Liu Wen, Chinese actress Yang Mi, as well as Michael Kors (the brand, not the man). And Leo Wong (right; IG: @leowong_makeup) is Estee Lauder’s leading makeup artist in Hong Kong who’s also a YouTube star with his series “Be Your Own Make Up Artist” that’s chalked up well over a million views. Beauty junkies and women looking for tips on Fall Winter 2018 trends and putting on makeup like a pro won’t want to miss the chance to get up close to them. The dates that they’re on site: July 14 and 15.

#2: You can get a makeover that suits your personality (or for that special night out)

beauty advice
Those who want to emulate the modern girl-next-door can go for the “It’s A Date” beauty makeover (left) while “Beauty At Work” is the perfect look for transitioning from day-to-night.

Even better than picking up tips from the experts? Getting a makeover from them. From 11am to 8pm on July 14 and 15, the three regional Estee Lauder makeup artists will give women a beauty transformation with one of four looks: It’s A Date (think sweet yet stylish); Beauty At Work (a sophisticated look that would take one from day-to-night); Minimalist Chic (simple, natural, effortless); or Holiday Glamour (our recommendation for a party night).

The “Minimalist Chic” makeover (left) is for those into fresh, effortless-looking beauty while “Holiday Glamour” will get you party-ready.

#3: And you can pop by during your lunch break to freshen up (PS. no purchases required)

So it’s going to be a long day. Estee Lauder’s homegrown makeup chief Jerome Chan will be at the #PlayColorPlayroom July 16 to 19, 12-2pm to give busy working women a neat perk-me-up: a complimentary touch-up service. Note: To get a slot, you’ve got to RSVP.

Sold at Estee Lauder’s #PlayColorPlayroom, the Lip Kit ($100) with a lip balm and two liquid lip colours is a great starter kit for trying out the brand’s Pure Color collection.

With a hot pink, highly Instagrammable set-up that brings to mind a cool girl’s beauty room, #PlayColorPlayroom will allow women to experiment with and try out Estee Lauder’s must-know launches. Among them: its Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation, ANR Serum, and the full range of its new Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor. Details remained under wraps at press time, but we’ve been told that it’s going to be “fun and interactive”, with a special lip set containing the brand’s Pure Color Envy Blooming Lip Balm, Paint-On Liquid LipColor and Envy Liquid Lip Potion also up for grabs.

#6: There’s going to be a gift dispensing machine

You see that huge Barbie-pink box in the centre of the opening picture to this story? That’s how the #PlayColorPlayroom “vending machine” will look like. Instead of drinks or snacks though, it’ll be filled with gift kits each containing eight Estee Lauder items worth over $180. There will be three options, and to get one, simply spend $240 on-site.

Estee Lauder’s #PlayColorPlayroom is on at the lobby of Paragon Orchard, July 13-19. Click here to register for a makeover session (July 14-15), or RSVP for a complimentary lunchtime touchup service (July 16-19). Alternatively, dial the hotline 6735-1472.
