Starting yesterday, Dior welcomed two new family members into its Dior Rouge offerings – the Rouge Dior Ultra Care and Ultra Care Liquid lipstick. The opening of its new chapter ventures into the lip care territory with the brand’s first flower oil-infused ultra-wear and ultra care lipstick collection.
The latest lippies ($52 each) promise more lip-loving elements than its previous formulas – thanks to the addition of actual flower extracts, as well as nourishing oils. Like how Christian Dior continually drew inspiration from gardens, flowers are at the very heart of what inspired this new range, from its petal-soft shades to the oils that are being infused in it.
The Rouge Dior Ultra Care lipstick provides an extra dose of care and a garden of soft colours that come in a luminous, matte dewy finish (also known as “mewy”). What’s new and improved this iteration is the white “CD” emblem that delivers lip care infused with nourishing ingredients straight to the lips. As compared to its predecessor – Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge – this one sees of double the concentration when it comes to essential fatty acids for deeply nourished lips. The ingredient behind this is cameline oil which strengthens the lips’ barrier function and limits the loss of water for perfectly hydrated lips – for up to 12 hours.

Unlike drying liquid lipsticks that will flake throughout the day, the wax-free Rouge Dior Ultra Care Liquid has an airy, petal-soft matte finish that will have you forgetting you even wore lipstick. With a texture that’s likened to whipped cream, it has 100 per cent natural-origin cameline and sweet almond oils coupled with shea butter to thank for that.
