This Korean Skincare Brand Is Launching In Singapore And We're Already Obsessed

We seriously can't wait.

If you have consistently been reading this space (which you ought to do), then you probably would have read a story I wrote on all the Korean beauty brands we wish to be available in Singapore in 2018, last December. Our wish did come true. Pony Effect announced its debut and now, more exciting news: Huxley will finally be available in our city today, 1 October at M Beauty at Metro Centrepoint and online.

I — and many other consumers and industry insiders — am a huge fan of the skincare brand because of its innovative yet effective products that come in the loveliest and most IG-worthy packaging. The brand is known for harnessing the power of the moisture-binding prickly pear cactus, which was commonly used in the past by women who lived in the Sahara desert, along with other antioxidant-rich botanical ingredients. The unique formulations promote the skin’s own natural defences while energising and revitalising complexions. Each product is also lightly scented with a refreshing fragrance inspired by Moroccan gardens.

In conjunction with its launch, the brand has also released two new additional products (the Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Foam in Deep Clean and Deep Moist) to its already robust lineup. Here, we pick out the ones you need to get ASAP.

#1: Huxley Cleansing Oil, $70
Said to be a top seller in Korea, this is powered by the brand’s Prickly Pear Seed Oil that is saturated with a ton of effective natural ingredients like annatto oil to effectively remove stubborn dirt and impurities trapped deep within the pores while moisturising and protecting complexions. #2: Huxley Cleansing Foam, $40
This gentle creamy cleanser is formulated with exotic botanicals such as blue lotus, tangerine, and blue agave that help hydrate, relieve irritation and improve complexions. #3: Huxley Oil Essence, $60
This is one of my favourite skincare products that I always purchase whenever I’m in Seoul. It is a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil-in-essence that is enriched with acai berry and Sahara cactus oil to deliver long-lasting hydration. It is also rich in antioxidants and vitamins to fight premature ageing. #4: Huxley Oil in Light and More, $60
But if you prefer using facial oils, this is one you should definitely try. Not only does it help hydrate skin thanks to a combination of jojoba seed oil, prickly pear seed oil and sunflower seed oil, it also helps to improve skin texture and boost radiance. #5: Huxley Mask in Oil and Extract, $45 for a pack of three
The unique dual pouch design allows consumers to combine the brand’s signature Cactus Extract and Prickly Pear Seed Oil (they are known for their hydrating and nourishing properties) by bursting the packets (that contain the oils) into the sheet pack before massaging and spreading it out onto the sheet mask. #6: Huxley Sleep Mask in Good Night, $45
Formulated with centella asiatica to soothe, hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plant vitalizin to revitalise skin, this overnight sleeping mask will help improve your complexion and make it a lot suppler and more radiant. #7: Huxley Cream in Glow Awakening, $55
Niacinamide, bisabolol and glutathione work together to help brighten dull, tired complexions. Additionally, this brightening cream also protects skin from environmental aggressors, reinforces skin’s barrier and improves overall skin tone. #8: Huxley Essence Grab Water, $60
This gel-type serum instantly soothes and hydrates skin. It even contains yerba mate leaf and an Antioxidant Berry Complex to strengthen and protect skin.
