The 89th Academy Awards was just held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and many celebrities took the opportunity to up their beauty game for the awards ceremony. We highlight the hottest beauty looks spotted on the red carpet:
#1: Emma Stone
Taking home the award for Best Actress for her turn in the musical flick La La Land, Stone channelled a vintage-y vibe with her retro, shoulder-length curls, shimmery gold eyeshadow and brick red lips (it’s Nars’ Audacious Lipstick in Mona, FYI).
#2: Emma Roberts
Renowned makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury created this “Old Hollywood” look on Roberts with products from her own makeup line. Just the Wonderglow primer, Light Water foundation, Filmstar Bronze & Glow bronzer, Bronzed Garnet eyeshadow pencil and Red Carpet Red lipstick were used.
#3: Felicity Jones
The English actress opted for a sweet and romantic makeup look to complement her blush pink Dior gown. Soft, side-swept bangs helped to frame her face while her rosy lip colour brightened up her complexion immediately.
#4: Karlie Kloss
The supermodel went for a sideswept ‘do with loose curls, and paired that with glowing cheeks and a bold orange lip. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo created the sultry makeup look using Marc Jacobs beauty products.
#5: Jessica Biel
The American actress went for a polished, low chignon pulled tight with a centre-part, and finished off the regal look with nude lips and peachy skin. She added a dash of drama with strong black eyeliner.
#6: Scarlett Johansson
Johansson rocked a cool, cropped cut with an upswept fringe, serving as the perfect foil to her girly Azzedine Alaia frock. The American actress went with glittering, coral eyeshadow and a soft pink lip created using Nars’ Orgasm Lip Gloss.
#7: Charlize Theron
The statuesque actress went for a sculpted ponytail that showed off her dazzling Chopard diamond chandelier earrings. For her makeup, Theron went for a bronzed glow and natural lips created with Dior beauty products.
