Located conveniently at Paragon, homegrown beauty brand Porcelain’s newest boutique, Porcelain Origins, spans across 3,450 sq ft and is said to be our city’s first smart spa. The new concept space combines retail, a cafe, and of course, a spa, which are all equipped with the latest technology for a comprehensive and holistic experience. It has a total of 14 different treatment rooms, which take inspiration from old shophouses. Its most notable feature: offering consumers seamless engagement through four digital features and touch-points.
Beginning with Porcelain’s (newly relaunched) mobile app that’s a must-have one-stop for regulars, it allows customers to view their personalised dashboard with customised information based on their profiles. This also spans appointment booking, skincare advice, customer service and payments. Bonus: product purchases can also be made through the app.
And when you first step into the boutique, you will be greeted by a Product Discovery Bar. The bar features interactive screens that empower customers with the freedom to discover and experiment with Porcelain products. For every item picked up, its corresponding information such as product description, ingredients and usage — and informative videos — will appear on the screen.
Each consultation room is equipped with touchscreen tabletops as a visual tool to help clients better understand the therapist’s recommendations and treatments. A client’s skin type, product and treatment recommendations, as well as other scheduled appointments, will show up on the screen.
Once each customer is done with their treatment, they will be brought to a room where they can touch up their hair and makeup. Here, they are able to use the smart mirrors to order their post-treatment refreshment, which would be ready once they are done. They can also view the corresponding treatment benefits and post-care tips on these mirrors.
But that’s not all. Circling back to the cafe we mentioned above, 30-seater is open to the public on top of spa-goers and offer up healthy snacks (such as acai bowls) and beverages (yoghurt bowls and custom-blended smoothies). Additionally, spa-goers are treated to an exclusive Gryphon Tea Company selection that matches Porcelain Skincare’s five product ranges (Balance, Pure, Intensive, Revive, and Soothe). The tea blends feature herbs and superfoods including aloe vera, lychee, orchid and elderflower, which are also ingredients used in the skincare line displayed at the adjoining Product Discovery Bar.
