sephora skincare line

Last year, Sephora introduced its “Clean at Sephora” initiative that highlights clean beauty products – those that are formulated without parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, coal tar and more – with a green seal. Even though it’s only available on its international site for now, it’s still a great place to visit for products that are certified to be free of harmful ingredients, since many of the brands are also carried at local Sephora outlets. Currently, the list sees of 68 approved certified clean brands – with cult beauty labels like Drunk Elephant and the Bill Gates-funded Biossance being a part of it.

With such a strong stance towards supporting clean beauty, it’s only natural that its in-house brand is one that reflects the same ethos. Which is why its first-ever clean skincare line boasts of a repertoire of 16 products that are crafted with 91 to 99 per cent of naturally-derived ingredients and is said to be catered for all skin types – all under $40.

The cherry on top? These products that are good for the skin are good for the environment as well. The packaging that the products come in are all made of recyclable plastic derived from sugar cane and printed with vegetable-based inks. Double score.
