There is a new local beauty brand in town. The Gentle Label, founded by former art director Genevieve Tan, has a strong focus on using all-natural ingredients to make products that are gentle, effective and simple.
Certified by The Soil Association, the UK’s leading body for organic certification, the products – which are all formulated and manufactured in the UK – contain a minimum of 70% organic ingredients.
For example, the label’s multi-purpose Organic Healing Balm is 100 per cent natural and petrochemical-free. Containing PawPaw and Calendula extracts to soothe, relieve and moisturise, the do-it-all balm can be used for many purposes, such as to hydrate dry, chapped lips, relieve insect bites, nourish cuticles and nails, heal minor burns and cuts, prevent stretch marks and as a hair mask for frazzled ends.
The idea of The Gentle Label came to Tan in 2014, when the birth of her daughter made her more conscious about the products that she uses on herself and on her family. With an emphasis on natural, organic and healthy ingredients, The Gentle Label creates products suitable for the whole family.
The Organic Healing Balm ($22/25ml) is available at www.thegentlelabel.com
