Why: Located at the fourth storey of Far East Plaza, the location of this nail salon makes it easy to just pop right by for a nail fix midway through shopping. It’s a personal favourite place of mine because the nail techs there are friendly, attentive and willing to go the extra mile. I’ve been a frequent patron of the place since a good five years ago and I’ve never once been let down by the service there. My go-to nail technician is a lady named Jin. When I visited about a month ago to get my acrylic extensions fixed (two of them broke because I was silly enough to get them somewhere else just because I was tempted by the wallet-friendly prices), she was kind enough to do some repair work to the remaining eight of them – that were on the verge of giving up as well – so that they could last another three weeks. All these sans extra cost, while most places will charge you for even getting your cuticles cut. The salon offers prayer-friendly Orly – a halal-certified breathable nail polish – for Muslimahs as well. Talk about inclusivity? Plus, it’s really a one-stop-shop for your other pampering needs like eyebrow embroidery and eyelash perms.
