We’re Obsessed With Rose Pourpre Makeup

Pink with a hint of purple - an it shade that's surprisingly wearable.

Fun summer makeup is not easiest to do. It’s a bit too late in the year to be playing around with pastels, but it’s too early – and weather inappropriate – to start piling on our smoky greys and dark tones.

The colour we can’t get enough of now is rose pourpre. Think a bright fuschia with a touch of purple. Not only is a youthful and fresh, it’s ultra wearable and goes well on most skin tones so basically everyone can pull it off.

But honestly, the best thing about it is it really pops so you don’t need much to make you look ‘done’ and brighten up your whole face. Apply it on your lips and/or cheeks (pick one for a more subtle day look, but for the night, totally go for both), or your lids if you love experimenting with makeup. Because rose pourpre is such bold colour, remember to apply it with intention. Don’t be afraid to use a firm hand when putting it on, but go light on the rest of your makeup.

If you’re not sure what to get, we’ve put together a list of our favourite rose pourpre products here.
