Available in an array of collection of six fiery red shades, the Loubiglitterglosses are glittery and glossy like you’ve never seen before. The six vibrant red gloss shades are each a glistening rendition on Christian Louboutin Beauty’s signature hue.
And the inclusion of a one-off lip collection that revolves around glitter is not one that’s random. These glimmery glosses are inspired by Christian Louboutin’s fascination with glitter that stemmed from his teen years of attending Paris’ cabaret spectacles. Since then, glitter has become part of his signature and a proper facet of his vocabulary.
Glitzy Louboutin pieces especially took centre stage when it became spotted as a recurring material in the designer’s work season after season – from Pigalle sugar-pink glitter pumps that were spotted on Melania Trump to the more sensible Ballalla Glitter Skimmer Flats.
Isamaya Ffrench – Christian Louboutin Beauty’s global make-up artist – said, “Loubiglittergloss should do all the talking for your makeup look.” She recommends pairing it like she does – with a nude Tape à L’Oeil eye colour around the eyes and lots of black mascara to keep things modern.
In keeping with Christian Louboutin’s vision of beauty as an object of art, the Loubiglittergloss bottle is crystal-clear and carved with an intricate mermaid tail pattern to encapsulate the opulent colour like an elixir. This treasure is enclosed with a turret-like crown reminiscent of the ornate aesthetics of Middle Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco movement. Mounted with a small ring threaded with coloured ribbons, the vial can be worn as a pendant.
