1919 Waterboat House
Housed in a 1919 -hence the name- colonial building and national monument, it is the blend of romantic Art Deco elements and modern statement decor of the newly restored 1919 Waterboat House that makes it a stunning wedding venue. Its focus is on fresh ocean catches that are prepared using classic and modern French culinary techniques, plus a carefully curated wine list from its bespoke bar. If you’re planning a casual reception, visit the charming Cafe & Bar Gavroche owned by Chef Frederic Collin. Located at a conservation shophouse, the front section showcases an antique wooden bar (circa 1920s) from Normandy in France, while the indoor terrace is filled with natural light and furnished with wicker chairs and tables typical of a Parisian cafe. The final space is an intimate dining alcove with a long wooden table and chairs for European country-themed celebrations and buffets. The menu focuses on salads, tartines or open-faced sandwiches, cheese and cold-cut platters, as well as desserts.
